At one point, there was talk that we could continue to spearfish for Red Snapper due to the selective nature. Does anyone know if this is the case or did they close it to everyone?

The closure that started on the 4th banned all harvest or possession of Red Snapper. The 17A closure still has not been finalized. Spearing may still be allowed, but most charter boat captains oppose it.
